Common questions
What is free? The logbook is unlimited and free forever, and so are the trophy room personal records and their share cards, the species field guide with its protected- and toxic-species warnings, and the regulations browser. The free tier also includes a daily allowance of keep-checks and guided species look-ups.
What does Pro add? It removes those daily caps and adds the guided length-range and estimated-weight step, so a keep verdict is scored against the fish you actually measured instead of an assumed size.
Does ReelKeeper identify the fish from my photo? No. You choose the species from a guided list — the app does not claim to recognise a species from a photograph, and it will tell you it is uncertain rather than assert one.
Which regulations are covered? Florida and Texas rule packs are bundled in the app. Where a rule set has not been agency-verified, the app labels it as sample data instead of presenting it as official. Regulations change: confirm with your state agency before you keep a fish.
Does it use my location? No. You pick the jurisdiction yourself from a list.
I bought Pro on another device. Open Settings in ReelKeeper and tap Restore Purchases.
How do I cancel Pro? Open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → ReelKeeper → Cancel.
How do I delete my data? Delete the app from your iPhone, or use the account-deletion option in Settings if you signed in with Apple. Catches and photos are stored on-device.
